Even though open interest has not been exceeded by today's 300% increase in activty, call buying has taken offer 99% of the time. One trade takes the up all the activity with it hitting the offer for .40 cents. Even though this is an increase of call activity this could be a closing order and not new contracts opening creating new open interest.
