Welcome to optionSIZZLE's Technical Analysis Education Center.
Technical analysis is the art of being able to analyze previous market trends to predict future price projections. This is used by using candlestick charts, chart patterns and Technical Indicators. Technical Analysis does not use what fundamental analysis use such as, financial statements, 10k & 10Q reports, P/E multiples, etc, true technicians will ignore this information and use stock price and volume as their guide.
Technical analysis is based on the theory that the market is a discounting mechanism, which prices in the fundamentals before they are known to the general public and finding the true emotion in the market without all the media "hype".
Below, you will find our technical analysis broken down into three categories: candlestick charts, chart patterns, and technical indicators. It is important to understand that the foundation of technical analysis is based on the study of price, volume, and their relationship to each other. Almost every indicator, pattern, or formation discussed is a derivation of these two concepts.
